The event is part of the Summer Reading Challenge – the UK’s biggest reading event for children in libraries.

This year’s theme, ‘Story Lab’ will reflect the spirit of 2012 with special events and activities taking place at public libraries across the county.

Peter Chand’s storytelling relay will take him to libraries near to the route of the Olympic Torch, to inspire youngsters to strive for their own gold medals by completing the challenge!

His relay started on Monday 6 August at Great Wyrley and Cannock Libraries and continues on Tuesday 7 August at Lichfield Library from 10.30am to 11.30am and Tamworth Library from 2pm to 3pm.

Catch up with Peter on Wednesday 8 August at Burton Library from 10.30am to 11.30am and Stafford Library from 2pm to 3pm.

Peter will continue to inspire young readers on Thursday 9 August at Clayton Library from 10.30am to 11.30am and Blythe Bridge Library from 2pm to 3pm.
