Instant Access to Your Council Tax Bills

Jun 22, 2012 by Warren

Residents still have time to sign up to receive their council tax bills online – and be in with the chance of winning a flat screen television.

Marmion House, Tamworth Borough Council

And those signing up before the end of July 2012 will be entered into a prize draw to win the television which has been donated by Capita, the company which supplies the council tax computer system.

The new e-billing service means bills can be sent more quickly – and is more environmentally friendly.

To sign up and register for the service, residents just need to telephone 01827 709530 or email: A PDF will then be sent to the email address.

Councillor Rob Pritchard, Deputy Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said:

“This will make it easier for people to receive their council tax bills, while helping to reduce costs and benefit the environment.

“Every year we send out more than 60,000 bills via the post and this new service will hopefully reduce the amount of paper we send out.”

As well as paying via direct debit or cheque, people can also pay online or over the phone. People can also check their council tax balance via the borough council’s website.
