8 Year Old Flown to Hospital after accident on Glascote Road
An 8 year old boy was air lifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital on Friday April 29 after being knocked down by a car, shortly after 3.35pm.
Two rapid response vehicles, one driven by an incident support officer attended, along with an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:
“The 8 year old boy had a head injury and abdominal and pelvic pain. He was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and was flown to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
“A man who was driving the car involved and a woman who was his passenger were both assessed at the scene. The woman didn’t require treatment while the man, who was in shock, refused hospital treatment.”
