Tamworth could be set for it’s third budget supermarket in the not to distant future after it emerged that Lidl own the old Bolebridge Garage site and are currently in the early planning stages for a store on the land.

The land has been empty since 2006 when it’s owner Joe Fernyhough in 2006. Much speculation has surrounded the area opposite the cinema with the council believed to be keen to secure a high profile retailer due to it’s location.

A Lidl Spokesperson told the Tamworth Herald:

“It is our site and we are looking to have a store there. It is very early days and we are currently working on the plans.”

Now, you can apply online, however Tamworth doesn’t appear in the list, I believe for some odd reason applicants have to select ‘Lutterworth (Magna Park)’, to apply for jobs in Tamworth.

I'm sure we don't really need to tell you but please, keep it civil and healthy.
